There are major concerns of excessive restrictions on points of entry, according to the (IOM), limiting mobility and the delivery of essential goods. Humanitarian agencies, including the International Committee Red Cross (ICRC) and (MSF) have urged countries to ensure the protection of vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons as well as asylum seekers, and to ensure access to essential goods such as medical equipment and food supplies, as the World Food Programme (WFP) is warning of anticipated food shortages.
Over 3,015 cases and 126 deaths have been reported across 21 humanitarian sites, according to UNOCHA.
