Flattening the Curve at Family Level
Organisations. Advanced Disaster, Emergency and Rapid Response Simulation ADERSIM (Computing)
Studies conducted on COVID-19 cases in different countries, particularly China, show that significant number of COVID-19 cases are family clusters. Therefore, family level measures are very important in reducing the spread of the virus and overall number of cases. This simulation uses a SEIR (Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, Recovered) disease transmission model to show how protective measures at family level (in terms of physical distancing or contacts) can impact family level exposure and infections, if one person becomes infected in the family. It is a basic model for demonstration purposes only.
